Healthcare Assistant – Permanent position (37.5 Hours per week)​
St Patrick’s Missionary Society has a dedicated nurse led Care Unit located in Kiltegan which is fully integrated in St Patrick’s community. It offers a friendly and relaxed environment for its members and staff, all of whom are highly valued and respected.
Caring services include both long term and short-term care within the Care Unit and the main house based on different levels of dependency.
We are recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant to become a valued member of our care team.
Essential Criteria
-
Have completed education to Leaving Cert level and/or working towards a Level 5 in a relevant qualification, ie Health Care Skills/Health Care Support

Knowledge of Residential Care legislation and HIQA standards

Demonstrate sound knowledge of older people.

Good IT & literacy skills

Desirable
-
Previous experience in care of the elderly desirable but not essential.

General Facilities/Maintenance Person – Permanent position (39 Hours per week)
​St Patrick's Missionary Society located in the beautiful countryside of Kiltegan comprises of mixed use dwellings that include a House for independent living, Care Unit and Offices. It offers a friendly and relaxed environment for its members and staff, all of whom are highly valued and respected.
We are recruiting for a Maintenance/Facilities person to become a valued member of our services team.
The successful candidate will ensure the efficient operation and effective maintenance of all buildings and services that are under the remit of the Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar environment and is able to undertake basic carpentry, plumbing and equipment repairs when the need arises.
Working with a small team you will contribute to the day-to-day planning and prioritisation of work projects.
Essential Criteria

Achieved a recognised QQI trade qualification for example in one of the following carpentry, painting or plumbing.

Has at least 2 years work experience as a general facilities/maintenance person in a similar environment.

Ability to use Microsoft Office particularly Outlook/Word/Excel.

Candidates must possess a Full Unendorsed Drivers Licence.

Desirable

Safe Pass in date or willing to undertake the training within a specific timeframe.​
