My Cross
Easter Private Intentions 2025
As we emerge from the quiet of winter, there is something enchanting about watching the world come alive again. Just like winter, the season of lent teaches us to wait, to trust, and to hope for renewal, and to prepare for the brilliance of Christ’s resurrection on Easter morning.
Life is full of waiting but what is waiting if not hoping? Hope sustains all things. No wonder Pope Francis declared this jubilee year as the Jubilee of Hope, reminding us that hope is not passive—it is alive, resilient, and transformative.
The theme of hope aligns closely with the mission of St Patrick’s Missionary Society. Our missionaries walk alongside communities waiting—for peace, opportunity, and belonging. I think of those we serve, where hunger, conflict, and isolation often overshadow hope. Yet, in these places, hope blooms. It blooms in the lives of those baptised during the Easter Vigil. It blooms in the smiles of children receiving education for the first time. It blooms in the joy of a family reunited through reconciliation. It blooms in the quiet strength of our missionaries, who carry the Easter message of resurrection and renewal to those most in need. All this can only be done with your support.
This Easter we invite you to join us in this mission of hope.
